How to plan a circular route

Summary

The Circular routes feature in the Cyclers app allows you to generate a route that starts and ends at the same point. Simply choose your desired length and direction, and the app takes care of the rest.

Step-by-step instructions

  1. Open the Cyclers app and tap the Planner button on the main screen.

  2. Select Circular route from the top menu.

  3. Set the Starting point. Your current location is set by default, but you can change it by tapping the map or searching for an address.

  4. Choose the Route length:

    • Plus users: Can set any custom route length using the slider or by entering a specific value.

    • Free users: Can choose from three predefined lengths: 20 km, 50 km, and 80 km.

  5. Confirm by tapping Create circular route. The app will offer one or more route variants for you to preview before starting navigation.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

  • Why can't I set a length other than 20, 50, or 80 km?

The option to choose any custom round trip length is part of the Cyclers Plus premium package. In the free version, these three standardised lengths are available.

  • Does circular route generation work offline? No, an active internet connection is required to calculate and generate a new round trip route.
