What is the Baiker beta feature and how does it work?

Summary

Baiker is a conversational route planner that helps you design custom cycling routes using plain language prompts. Instead of configuring complex navigation settings, you can simply type what you want — such as your target distance, duration, starting point, or preferred region. Baiker will present up to three route options with brief descriptions to help you choose the perfect ride.

Key benefits of Baiker

  • Natural language planning: Describe your ride idea in simple words without overthinking exact routing parameters.

  • Chat and tweak as you go: Not quite what you were looking for? Just reply to Baiker in the chat. Ask it to "change the start location", "extend the ride to 50 km", "add a lunch stop", or "find a flatter route", and Baiker will instantly suggest a new set of routes based on your feedback.

  • Quick ideas to get you started: Not sure what to type? Tap handy built-in phrases like "from my current location", "gravel ride", "avoid busy roads", or "around 40 km" to build your request with just a single tap.

  • Detailed route summaries: Each suggested route includes a concise description highlighting difficulty, terrain types, and road traffic levels.

  • Point of Interest (POI) integration: Baiker can discover and incorporate places along your route, including restaurants, historical sights, scenic spots, and e-bike charging stations.

  • Easy editing: Open the full route preview and tap the pencil icon to edit the route just as you normally would and save it to your profile.

  • Write in any language: Feel free to type your requests in any language you like. Just note that Baiker will always reply and present its route descriptions in your app's display language.

Availability: Baiker is currently available for Cyclers Plus subscribers on Android devices in Czechia and Germany. We are working on a gradual rollout to other countries as well as iOS devices.

Note on Beta status & Feedback: Baiker is currently in Beta testing. Your user feedback is crucial to helping us train, refine, and improve this feature. You can share your thoughts via the short in-app feedback survey or by going to Get Help > Send us a message > Feedback or New Feature.

Where to find Baiker

  1. Open the Planner tab and select either Loop or A-to-B Ride.

  2. Tap the Stars icon (sparkles) in the top right corner of the screen.

  3. The conversation window with Baiker will open.

How to use Baiker

  1. Describe your ride: Type your ideal ride concept into the chat box or tap suggested key phrases.

  2. Review route suggestions: Baiker will generate 1 to 3 route options displayed on the map, complete with brief summary descriptions.

  3. Refine your request (optional): If you want different options, just reply to Baiker in the chat (e.g. "Change starting point to...", "Extend route to 50 km", "Add a lunch stop", or "Find flatter routes"). Baiker will process your updated idea and present a fresh set of routes.

  4. Inspect route details: Tap on any route to see detailed insights into traffic, surface, slope, and more.

  5. Select and navigate or save: Choose your favourite route to make manual adjustments in the planner if needed, then start navigation or save it for later.

Important: Navigate or save your route immediately once you are happy with the suggestion! Chat conversations with Baiker are temporary — as soon as you close the chat window, the conversation is cleared and cannot be recovered.
