Summary

You can use most features, such as trip recording or navigation on a planned route, offline; however, an active internet connection is essential for planning new routes, automatic rerouting, or account management.

Feature

Offline

Online (Wi-Fi / Data)

What this means for you

Explore map

Map areas you viewed while connected to the internet remain available offline.

Route planner

Planning a new route and automatic rerouting require an active internet connection.

Navigation

Navigation on a pre-planned route is available in offline mode.

Record your ride

Your ride can be recorded using GPS even without internet. Data will be saved to your profile once the connection is restored.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

  • Why didn't my route recalculate when I took a wrong turn?

Automatic rerouting requires an active internet connection. If you are offline, the navigation will not automatically return you to the original route.

  • Will I see the map in a forest where there is no signal?

Yes, but only in areas you have previously viewed in the app while connected to the internet.

  • Will I lose my ride data if the internet goes off during my trip?

No. GPS recording occurs independently of data. Your ride will automatically synchronise with your profile once the connection is restored.
